Dead or Alive in the U.S.
Dead Or Alive in concert is more of a phenomenon than an event.
The moment news of a tour hits the grapevine, the venues in
question are beseiged with phone calls from excited fans. Gigs,
especially in America, are standing room only, with many
attendees travelling miles to catch the show.
One cannot overestimate the impact of Dead Or Alive onstage. The band's
sound redefined dance music in the Eighties and since then has
only been imitated, not improved upon. Pete Burns, with his sultry
stage presence and neo-Gothic image, gets the show started
before he even opens his mouth. Once he does, the Nukleopatra
experience is underway.
The official Web site for Cleopatra Records, Dead Or Alive's U.S. label, is located at www.hallucinet.com/cleopatra. Cleopatra has provided this press release heralding the release of Nukleopatra.
Pat Geary, one of the Right Stuff's founders, has written an in-depth examination of the Nukleopatra
phenomenon.
