Delay in release of album probable

There have been recent difficulties with Michele Martinoli, who took the excellent MANMADE photos. Pete and Steve wanted to use the images for press purposes and the CD cover/booklet with the full consent of Gozra Lozano, makeup artist for the MANMADE collection and creative/business partner of Ms. Martinoli. Pete and Steve also requested the negatives in order to approve more shots, which Michele could have sold/ utilised through her agency. It was a potentially win-win situation, as magazines and publications demand more than the same photo set, so more variety would have meant more exposure and recognition of Michele's work.

Message from Pete:

"This week, we were due to put together the artwork for the Spin Me 2002 single release in October, as well as a book (to be made available exclusively through the Right Stuff) of the unseen pictures from MANMADE. I shot the album sleeve on Sunday, with a photographic duo called James and James, and was getting ready to approve them (along with the MANMADE images) for the inside booklet. We got in touch with Michele, who held all the negatives of the MANMADE session, and told her that we needed them fast for the above projects. Well, today we received a huge package, containing over 100 photos, all spitefully slashed to pieces. No explanation, destroyed. These were also the property of Gozra Lozano, who did a vast amount of the work in putting the images together, so you can imagine how he is feeling about this. I am furious that she has caused a delay in the release of the projects. Michele's response was to sneer, "Who does he think he is... he ain't Madonna!!" I think that you, my wonderful fans, should let her know what you think of this. I find this even more damaging than Popbitch, as that was scandal, this is work. Love, Pete"

Michele can be contacted for comment at 0-777-075-4218 or 0208-961-5207. Her email address is michele.martinoli@ntlworld.com. Rest assured that this is a temporary setback, and Dead Or Alive plan to move forward.
