Haven't "they" as you refer to been waiting 5 years odd for this so called "new release"? Think you'll find for a lot of people it goes a little beyond new releases.   |

and Rose know nothing about concerning Pete's
professional/private life.
Who knows what is happening...? I'd sure love to be a
fly on the wall in Pete's house but until then, we should
all play nicely and be a bit patient.

It's been 8 months since any official word from Pete, and those messages from Michael telling off that poster for the YouTube tribute doesn't count as an update. Exactly how patient are ppl expected to be b4 they can start to make noises about the appalling state of affairs in terms of communication, updates and promises, promises, promises?

We have to look into ourselves for answers.
How many times have WE broken promises
to friends, family and self?
Pete reserves the right (just like any of us) to do
as he pleases.
If Pete wants to fuck off to the moon for 3
years, he will.
I'd LOVE to hear new music and that teaser mp3
from Dirty Disco was just divine but we might have to
wait for weeks, months, years.....or maybe never.

I agree. We're all waiting, we're all impatient, but Pete didn't sign a contract with any of us.
I know I sound like a fanboy - the kind that would buy a fart if it came out of his backside - but the fact of the matter is some of you need to fucking chill out about it.
How long did we wait for Grace Jones' Hurricane album?
I mean lets be honest - Pete's strong-willed and self-driven. He'll do something when or if he wants to do it. He's got a home-life - a husband, and a step-daughter. He's been through a shite couple of years, and after two decades in the music industry, maybe he wants to take a backseat and cruise through it - if he gets there, he gets there, if he doesn't, he doesn't.
Pete's a (fifty) year old man with an impressive C.V. under his belt, not a twenty-something Paris Hiltonesque bimbo desperate to break into the charts. And I'd rather Pete release something he's ready to release, rather than a bag of shite that he felt pressured to.
I usually respect people's opinions and rights to free-speech et al. but to be quite honest all this crap is getting too much. The soapbox is crumbling due to overuse. Every thread seems to be injected with bitter bile.

You know what, I actually want Mr Burns to murder a prostitute or be involved in a Colombian Cocaine Ring, just so we'd have something else to bloody talk about!!!

This goes way beyond "when is Pete going to release s'thing already". The reason so many ppl here are fed up is the total lack of disregard as far as the fans go. It doesn't matter if Pete releases something this month, this year or the next decade or even if he decides to retire from music completely, it's his decision and his decision alone. It's just SO exhausting being told s'thing exciting is in the pipeline soon over and over again and not getting any feedback. You just have to look at the hoopla surrounding the release of "Chinese Democracy", ppl waited with bated breath for a decade and it was absolute crap, so I'd rather wait until Pete releases s'thing that's quality, instead of the anemic effort that was "Honeysuckle Rose".
Yes, Pete has had major upheaval over the past few years, there's no denying that. During this upheaval, he went thru this stage of practically blogging in great detail about it. You surely must remember when he was telling us via his laptop when he was being admitted to the hospital and when he was in ICU. After that? NOTHING. Ppl were sick with worry, posting on that "get well" thread, thinking Pete was still on death's door when lo and behold, Perez Hilton informed us when Pete was attacked by that "fan" when him and Michael were gallavanting in London. I'm prepared to let a lot of shit go, I'm totally aware of artistic temperament and all, but leaving fans to hang, thinking he was near death while he was out on the town? Sorry, but that's bad form, no matter how you dress it up.
Some ppl on here interpret expecting basic politeness as us expecting a personal thank you and that mentality is way off the mark. If Pete is still dealing with things, fair enough, but how difficult is it for him to phone or e-mail Rose a general message to post for fans saying he needs space to decompress and he'd appreciate it if fans would honor that request?
Again, Pete doesn't owe the fans anything, but when you have a history of detailing your ailments, struggles, etc on your website, fans ARE going to get antsy when you go completely off the radar for the best part of the year and even the mods aren't kept in the loop.

It must simply be a generational thing, manners seen to have become a thing of the past and nobody is exempt from showing them to other people, whether you be rich, famous, poor or anything in between. As has been mentioned why post shit about apparent new releases then jack shit for ANY kind of update. You see tadgh, many have been here before about stalled, delayed and eventual non releases and pretty much everyone has been cool about it all, peeved but cool. Before you were here there was such a ground swell of support for EVERY release, event, possible PA it actually brought everyone together to support the common cause. People who didn't get on with each other, all rallied behind the flag to give ANY project as much support as they could, enjoyed doing it and really no one ever expected ANYTHING in return, it was actually FUN and at times so funny yet in a way touching to see the variety of efforts people made to further the cause. A lot of that good will has been pissed up the wall the past couple of years, very sadly! It's such a pity you hadn't been around here a number of years back, I would love to have seen you sparring with some of the fabulous and outrageous characters that inhabited this board..Jen, shemale et al and if truth be told, despite all the drama everyone supported the band in every way, personal shit was put to one side.
People have came and went over the years, people usually got booted for utter nastiness THAT looking back was never aimed at the band but each other (not always good). There has NEVER been such a vocal groundswell of opinion the way it is at the moment and that is very sad in a way.
I am not having a pop at you, I have never subscribed that being around the longest makes you a bigger or better fan and as much as you are a pain in the arse at times, your posts 99% of the time do raise a smile from me, and isn't that what a lot of it's about? However, take the time to pm some of these ppl you seem to think are constantly whingeing to actually find out wtf is going wrong round here? These are ppl who actually give a shit and have never expressed so vocally these current opinions, it is very sad to see so many of the old names now leaving
Where people keep posting "Pete owes you nothing"..I haven't really seen ANY posts stating that Pete owe's us anything, NONE. But one thing he does owe EVERYONE here is a bit of fucking respect, you give it you get it..and it actually costs fuck all to do |

It's all gone downhill for me since the no show concerts in 08 (have to say G.A.Y 08 was excellent!!!!) I booked hotels/travel and lost money for nothing. I Know I wasn't the only one. As a fan, Life goes on and I stay around in the HOPE of better times but my faith is dwindling . . . .
It does make me laugh though If there EVER IS a new release in ANY form how many of us will be moaning for ANOTHER afterwards lol!!!!!!
