Virgin MegaStore at Hollywood and Highland still carries foreign magazines but they seem to be less and less interested in 'foreign' publications. Last time I was there it seemed to be a much smaller section than before.
Our MegaStore in the Forum Shops at Caesars closed altogether. We have absolutely nowhere for acoustic sessions now

Just like a musician, authors get an advance and nothing else until the book starts selling. I heard from one science fantasy author he got about 40c per book that is sold (softcover/paperback).

Yeah, most musicians only get between 15 cents to 60 cents for every CD they sell. Even though the CD sells for $17.00! It's really crazy!
That's why if Pete would sell his own merchadise through here, he could charge us less and still make a much greater proffit for himself. He wouldn't have to deal with record label nonsense. He would truly be the Queen of his own destiny!
To make it even easier, Pete could just have an E-bay store or use "CD Baby". It's not hard to do. Somebody just needs to organize it... |
