Colored Vinyl
4 colored vinyl 12"s were released in Mexico. You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) was featured on red and green vinyl, My
Heart Goes Bang/Lover Come Back To Me on red vinyl, and Brand New Lover came in a red vinyl format. These pressings
were limited in number and are almost impossible to find. They are by far some of the rarest and most collectable items for
Dead Or Alive seekers!
Video / Laser Disc
The Dead Or Alive video collections are a favorite amongst collectors. YOUTHQUAKE: THE VIDEOS, RIP IT UP: THE
SINGLES, and RIP IT UP LIVE were distributed in Europe, Japan, America, and Australia on video cassette. The US
released RIP IT UP LIVE on laserdisc, whereas Japan featured all 3 releases on laserdisc format, RIP IT UP: THE SINGLES
even received 8" and 12" pressings!
Japanese Promos
Japanese PROMOS are by far the rarest of all promotional format. When finished with the vinyl, radio stations would either
smash or throw away the promos to prevent resale. Japan stopped pressing vinyl mainstream in the mid 1990's and switched
to the CD format for most releases. The very existence of a Japanese PROMO is itself rare, much less a promo from Dead Or
Alive!
Japanese Pressings
Although the UK received the most releases form Dead Or Alive, Japan somehow managed to make its mark in collectors
eyes. As Dead Or Alive have received much adoration from the Japanese, the releases there have carried them far beyond
Radio One. Here are some of the more collectable items available to JAPAN ONLY!
