Four short years ago, in January 1996, only two DOA websites were to be found in the entire cyberspace arena: Falon's DOA page and Javier's fledgling DOA ON THE WEB. Later that summer PLANET DEAD OR ALIVE joined the growing tribute family. One year later, in August 1997, Pete and Steve gave their OK to the development of their official website, THE RIGHT STUFF. At last count, there are at least ten DOA pages on the Net, and doubtless more waiting to be catalogued.
Believe it or not, there should be more!! Francks PAGE D'ACCUEIL DOA was the first DOA site to offer a location-specific slant; it centered on the release of the French NUKLEOPATRA and offered an exclusively French take on the band's career, with article translations and photos of DOA's appearances in France. Graziano, Dario and Roberto's ITALIAN DOA SITE and Carlo's DEAD OR ALIVE FOREVER FAN page followed suit, with an Italian perspective. Carlo even commenced his page with a mission- to bring DOA to Italy for a series of concerts. He works hard and is a devoted fan, so it may happen. Now Donn and Richard have their DUTCH DOA PAGE; let's hope fans in other countries build pages describing the impact of the DOA sound in their respective lands.
